SWEETENERS

Avoid all sweeteners like sucrose, fructose, cane sugar, agave nectar, brown rice syrup, beet sugar, honey, corn syrup, and glucose.  Remember to read the labels of everything you eat.  Sugar and corn syrup are present in practically everything we eat – ketchup, spaghetti sauce, salad dressing, crackers, lunch meat, to name a few.

GRAINS

Greatly reduce your intake of grains during healing. Avoid refined grains like white rice and white flour completely.

FRUIT AND FRUIT JUICE

Fruit and fruit juices are extremely high in sugar.  Fruits are also very acidic, which will cause the open sores to burn and hurt even more.

ALCOHOL

Alcohol is especially bad.  The ethanol in alcohol is created by the fermentation process of converting yeast and sugar into alcohol and carbon dioxide.   Beer is the worst offender.

FERMENTED FOODS

Avoid fermented foods because they contain yeast.  Yogurt, however, is okay.

RED MEAT

Don’t eat red meat.  Fish, chicken, and turkey are fine.
